A woman undresses and slowly gives herself over to the ritualistic movements she knows well. Four images to capture this dance, slow and mesmerising, intimate and subtle. Not only watching, but also accompanying, from the darkness, with our own body, the body of the other, and its secret movements.
Verena Stenke, performer of the duo VestAndPage, places herself at the centre of this meditative and transcendental fresco, where the body surrenders to the mutations imprinted by time. The transformation of the image, combined with the changes we perceive in our innermost selves, write new impressions on the photographic canvas. The other turns away, disappears and reappears as something else. What remains is the dance, inscribed in time.
